No matter what a business does, an integral part of making money and staying in business is communicating the value of a product or service to customers. This is also known as marketing. Without marketing, it would be incredibly difficult to grow and flourish financially.

Digital business is no different from traditional business, since in order for a potential customer or consumer to purchase a product or service, he or she needs to first see value in the offering. While there are some exceptions, like food and shelter, most products are not naturally sought after by consumers. Businesses have to seek their customers out, rather, and prove to them that they are worth the customer’s time and money.

In order to accomplish this necessary task, there are three basic principles that need to be adhered to.
